ADSBMiner is a ADS-B feeder client + hardware ecosystem designed by ADSBCoin Foundation to collect ADS-B aircraft telemetry and forward it to ADSBChain where contributions earn ADSBCoin tokens under Proof-of-Feed (PoF).
How do I install ADSBMiner on a Raspberry Pi?
We provide an official installer script that automates installation of dump1090, feeder service, and monitoring. Typical steps:
- Flash Raspberry Pi OS (32-bit) and update packages.
- Download installer:
curl -sSL https://adsbminer.com/install.sh | sudo bash - Follow prompts: enter feeder name, region, and create your keypair.
- Reboot and verify service status:
systemctl status adsbminer.

How are ADSBCoin rewards calculated for feeders?
Rewards are computed per epoch (e.g., daily) using a proportional formula:
R_i = R_epoch × (w_i × v_i) / Σ_j (w_j × v_j)
Where v = accepted packet volume and w = quality weight (uptime, validity, plausibility). Epoch pool R_epoch is set by protocol and subject to halving schedule.
What security & privacy measures are in place?
TLS between feeder and gateway to secure transport.
Feeder submissions are signed (ECDSA) to authenticate origin.
Gateways perform plausibility checks to detect spoofed positions.
On-chain storage limited to hashes & aggregate metrics — raw PII remains off-chain.
What hardware & network requirements do I need to run a feeder?
Minimum recommended:
Good antenna placement (roof or high mast) for better reception
Raspberry Pi 3/4 (or similar single-board computer)
RTL-SDR / FlightAware Pro Stick or comparable ADS-B receiver
Stable internet (upload ~20–200 KB/s depending on aggregation settings)
